Social Services

Adult Social Work

Adult social work is systematic and rehabilitative social work and guidance for adults, the aim of which is to improve the well-being of the client or the client family and their independent living.
In addition to income support, clients can get advice and guidance for various crises in life in the adult social work unit. You can get help from a social worker or social instructor for e.g. unemployment, homelessness or substance abuse problems.

Services for the Disabled

The aim is to ensure that disabled residents can cope with their everyday lives and to organize appropriate treatment and care by means of services without accommodation and to secure appropriate care in a facility or in private care. Services for the intellectually disabled are secured as special services for the disabled.

You can apply for services for the disabled if you cannot cope with your everyday life due to illness or injury and if the basic services are inadequate.

Services for the seriously disabled: transport services, assisted living, apartment modifications, equipment and devices in the apartment, personal assistance, day activities.

Services and support measures based on allocated funds: tools, machines and equipment needed in everyday life, adaptation training, support for additional special diet and special clothing expenses, other necessary services and support measures

Home Service and Preventive Family Work

Home service for families with children is help provided at home: assistance in issues such as child care, upbringing, housekeeping and various errands. Preventive family work is systematic work with the family that supports parenting and helps the family in their everyday lives in challenging life situations.

Social Work for Families with Children

Social work for families with children supports the well-being of children and youth, and it also provides support for parents in their upbringing tasks. You can contact the social work for families with children when you need help or advice for coping with your everyday life, with housing and financial issues, support in the child's development and well-being, and in cases of intimate partner and domestic violence.

Maternity and Child Health Clinic

The aim of prenatal, natal and postnatal care is the health and well-being of the mother, the child and the whole family. At the clinic, parents can get support for the major change brought on by the birth of the child. The family will receive support in their growth towards parenthood and mutual interaction.
