Provides help and support in dealing with crises such as traffic accidents, work-related accidents, serious injuries or the death of a loved one.

Health services

Health services available in the city of Heinola include basic health care, specialist hospital care and a wide range of support services and experts. Doctors, nurses, receptions and health centres operate on the principle of population responsibility. Dental care available includes a specialist orthodontic treatment.

Specialist hospital care is available for internal medicine, surgical and gynaecological specialties. In addition to these areas of specialisation, we have a prenatal clinic. The surgical department handles operations and gynaecological procedures.

The on-site laboratory performs urgent tests, the imaging unit’s own radiologist performs ultrasound examinations, and mammograms are also among the examinations available. Other services and specialists include physiotherapy, psychology, social worker, nutritionist, speech therapy and orthopaedic therapy.
