Education department

Education Department in Heinola is in charge of basic education, upper secondary education and Music School. Also vocational education is supervised by Education Department.

During the school year 2007-2008 there were 2047 pupils in our primary and lower secondary schools and 335 students in the Upper Secondary School. About 411 students were given instruction in Music School. Education Department employed about 240 persons.
